Another SEO tip: Build only high quality links
There are lots of articles debating this subject and in every single one of them it’s recommended to use quality over quantity.
I’ve started to test this theory few month ago with two new websites containing an unique review of the most downloaded iPhone app at that time: Angry Birds; both had the same keyword density, same design, etc.
For one website I’ve outsourced all the link building jobs on Fiverr and the other one to RankTyphoon a completely new link building service which was on beta testing, where I’ve been a proud member of their community, which is promising to offer only high quality links.
To keep it short here’s what happened:
- both websites were indexed fast, the one with spammy links had 20 spots ahead to the one with quality backlinks;
- after 1 month the one with quality backlinks jumped in the first page for my targeted keyword, the spammy one kept it’s position on the third page;
- at the end of the second month the quality backlinks site got the no.1 position for that search, and the spammy one jumped on top of the second page;
- two months later, the quality one is still no1 and the spammy one struggling for the eight position.
Conclusion: The quality won over quantity, using only Fiverr gigs I was able to build over 3 thousands backlinks to the quantity website and with RankTyphoon almost 200.
